Oliver Backhouse, Consultant Eye Surgeon www.cataract.org.uk

The NHS 'Choice' initiative allows patients to choose where they have their eye care. This can be in both a ‘traditional’ NHS hospital or a Private hospital. To be seen in a Private hospital requires funding agreement from your Primary care trust (GP funding groups).
I see NHS patients at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds.
I see Private patients and some NHS patients at the Yorkshire Eye Hospital.

Thanks so much for 'talking me through' the operation. It made all the difference that you explained what was going to happen at each stage of the procedure. ![]()
